Things here go on steadily, with much gospel preaching and the translation and printing of books, which also takes up much time. The Gospel is preached faithfully in all this area and sinners are hearing the Gospel. A few have responded but so many are indifferent. Pray with us that their eyes may be opened to their need, while there is time. One young man in Porto Ferreira, who lives just across the road from the hall, started coming to meetings about a year ago. He has kept coming and now professes to be saved and has been enquiring about baptism.

One encouraging feature is to see the spiritual progress of some of the younger believers. A brother from Leme was here the other night and spoke at the meeting. Two weeks ago, two of our grandsons shared the Gospel meeting in Santa Cruz da Conceicao. (Janice and Marco's son, Philip, and one of Anita and Mauricio's boys, Jonathan.) We were not at this meeting but at the meeting in Porto Ferreira. Others are also showing a maturing in the preaching.

We went with Bill to Leme, the town where Belmiro lives, to a Bible study in his house, and there were over a dozen people present - some saved, some unsaved. Belmiro is keeping well and busy in the spread of the Gospel. The assembly there is doing well. They have a meeting every Saturday night in the neighboring town of Araras, in the home of a brother of one of the believers from Leme. He and his wife are saved and they opened their home for a weekly gospel meeting. Attendance is fair. Some nights the place is full but the Gospel is being preached and we look to the Lord to bless.

Ronnie keeps more or less the same. His Parkinson's is slowly progressing and he is unable to read as he has macular degeneration which leaves him very frustrated at times. Remember him especially in your prayers. We go to a meeting somewhere in the area, every night, and try to encourage the believers. It also helps Ronnie to meet up with the Christians. He prays at most meetings and his prayers are very clear. It is amazing.

The revising of the translated books still takes up much time. The final revision of the Ritchie Commentary, on the six last books of the Old Testament, is nearly all done and it will be the next book to get printed, God willing. The third book of the Glory Series, printed by the Assembly Testimony Magazine, is at the printers, and should be ready is about two weeks. A few months ago, the translation of the book, "The Faith of God's Elect" was also printed, and has been selling well.

Please keep on praying for us and for the work of the Lord in this part of Brazil.
