Report from Egypt

The 14th Training Conference in Cairo, Egypt
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to His abundant mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."1 Peter 1:3
I want to begin my letter with a very moving, living testimony we experienced at the beginning of February while participating in the Cairo Book Fair — a testimony that left me in awe and humility before the wisdom of God and His wondrous providence in the salvation of a single soul!
After a very long and exhausting day at the fair, we were drained and just wanted to reach the area to visit my cousin. We decided to take a taxi to save time, but the driver tried to take advantage of us and demanded an inflated fare. So we had to take a microbus — two modes of transportation and an exhausting two-and-a-half-hour journey!
We boarded the microbus — windows open, noise loud and disturbing; the crowding suffocating. In those moments, I confess I was not happy at all. I was blaming myself inwardly: “Why did I do that? I should have paid for the taxi and rested!” I did not know that Heaven was arranging a divine appointment in secret.
We got off at Ramses Station to take another means of transport. We requested an Uber, but the driver asked us to cross to him on the very crowded opposite street. In the end, he canceled the request! We were very surprised: Why is there all this delay?
Turning around, we found a taxi nearby, so we got in. Talking with the driver, I began sharing the Gospel. In the back, three sisters were lifting fervent, silent prayers throughout the entire journey.
And here the miracle happened that melted my heart! During our conversation amid Cairo's crowding and noise, the Holy Spirit touched this driver's heart. Suddenly, he turned to me; his voice broken and trembling, and said, "I am lost!" He began to weep bitterly — the tears of a man weighed down by sin and exhausted by being far from God — and he began to confess his sins with true repentance.
When we reached our destination, he stopped the taxi and was in no hurry to leave. And there, in his car, he prayed sincerely and with tears of true repentance, and surrendered his life to Christ! Truly, our God seeks sinners in wondrous ways and uses even our weariness and delays to bring about salvation!
An Abundant Harvest at the Hurghada Conference!
We bless the name of the Lord and magnify Him for the abundant spiritual showers He poured out during the conference. Imagine with us the joy of Heaven with an attendance of nearly 400 people! The tent of fellowship was spacious and joyful, gathering participants from about 20 local churches.
What increased our joy was the presence of brother (I) from Sudan, and brother (H) from Algeria, for the Lord to declare that the body of Christ is one and is not limited by borders!
The participants endured the hardship of a long journey (7 to 8 hours by bus) from Cairo and the depths of Upper Egypt. We thank the Lord with all our hearts for His protection over them on the way and on the return.
The teaching content focused on practical lessons from the life of Elijah the prophet and practical teachings on spiritual growth. We saw the work of the Holy Spirit in souls!

• New Souls for Christ: The general meetings featured fiery messages of salvation, with several attendees declaring their acceptance of the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. Hallelujah!
Passion for the Word: One young man who accepted the Lord was filled with great joy and began to devour the Word of God passionately; he has already finished reading the Gospel of Matthew and continues with indescribable joy.
Tears of Repentance: Some from a local church in Cairo testified to accepting the Lord — brother (F), who experienced the joy of salvation, and sister (M), who surrendered her heart with sincere repentance.
The Wondrous Work of the Holy Spirit: The building manager (a nun) attended all the events and was deeply moved by the Word and the worship.
Another lady from a liturgical background asked in astonishment about the wondrous harmony between the hymns and the Word without prior arrangement! We told her, "This is the leading of the Holy Spirit!" She was deeply moved and asked to reserve a place in the next conference.
We held an exhibition of Emmaus books, and many young people were encouraged to acquire books — a true investment in the minds and hearts of the next generation
Teaching session for youth: "The True Christian Life."
There was a wonderful time in the youth ministry activities with Lina and Agatha; about 60 wonderful youth had many rich discussions.
