A Visit to Colombia

For a number of years, we have had the desire to visit Colombia, especially the Sincelejo area where we spent our first four months after being commended to the work in 1995. Due to the Venezuelan/Colombian border being shut, we had to fly via Caracas and Bogota, then on to Barranquilla, where we spent a few days with the assembly there, before travelling by bus to Sincelejo to meet up with Edward & Ruth Smith. We enjoyed being at their Easter conference, and visiting the other assemblies and outreach works in the area, before travelling by bus again to Cartagena to spend a few days with the new assembly there. Jose Gregorio and his wife were commended from Venezuela some years ago to work in this coastal, touristic city, and we have seen the Lord provide for the purchase of large block of land for the construction of a hall. Jose is also building a house there to avoid the high cost of rent. We were able to share with them in some Gospel meetings and witness a baptism held on the site in a portable swimming pool.
