By the grace of God' an assembly was planted here in Cancun on Sunday' the 19th of January. The believers here gathered along with some visitors to break bread for the first time. It was a long-awaited and special moment in the Lord's work in this city. It was so lovely to hear these believers get up and worship for the first time. After the Breaking of Bread' David Cadenas shared a word of ministry. After some coffee and snacks' we all gathered again to hear a word of ministry from brother John Nesbitt and Shad Kember. A summary of the work was also shared. That night brother Kember and Nesbitt shared in the preaching of the gospel.

It has been a privilege for us to watch the Lord blessing in the salvation of different ones here in Cancun over the last number of years. We appreciate the prayers of many of the Lord's people and the help of different workers who have come to help. We rejoice in what the Lord has done. It brings a lot of joy to see a testimony being planted for His glory and' at the same time' a reminder that it's "the church of God." which He purchased with His own blood" (Acts 20:28). We appreciate your continued prayers for the assembly' for its spiritual preservation' growth and testimony.

During the weeks prior' we had a visit from Shad Kember' who helped us with ministry visits and with the many interviews of different ones who had expressed a desire to be part of the assembly. Shad Kember' David Cadenas' and I enjoyed the Lord's guidance and help in these activities leading up to the assembly formation. We have started as a group of 27 believers: 5 couples' 12 sisters' one brother' and two missionary couples. We keep praying the Lord will help this assembly to continue with the furtherance of the gospel in this city.
