We are now well into another year and we believe the coming of the Lord is near. We have little time left to spread the good news of salvation and gather in the lost. May the Lord help us all to be faithful in the charge He has given us.

Regarding the work of the Lord, we started off the year with ministry meetings in La Pica, our home assembly. The brethren had requested this in view of the baptism of four believers and the response to the Word of God was encouraging. A gospel meeting was held on Saturday night and the baptism took place at its close.

The following week we held ministry meetings with the Santa Rita assembly, looking at the progress of the gospel through the book of the Acts. The believers supported the meetings well and decided to go out around their hall, on the Lord's Day after the Breaking of Bread, to give out tracts and invitations to their Sunday School and Gospel Meeting. What a joy when 103 children and some parents arrived at the Sunday School! They have an exercise to start Gospel Meetings in their Hall, preaching the gospel themselves.

We have been preaching the gospel in San Juan de los Morros, over an hour's drive from our home. The brethren had an exercise to preach in the front yard of a sister's house. A good number of their family and neighbours are attending, some every night, so we look to the Lord for fruit that will be for His glory.

The editing and publishing of books and tracts for the Assemblies in Venezuela continues, and we are thankful for the privilege of serving the Lord's people in this way. We look to the Lord for wisdom in this aspect of the work, that the up building of the saints and the salvation of sinners may result from these exercises.

In closing, we request your prayers for Venezuela. Pray that the Lord may keep us by His grace and use us for His glory.
